If only scars still hurt, If we remember their pain,
Then we wouldn't have to hurt ourselves, over and over again.
If only our bodies remained wet; soaking and slain,
So then we wouldn't have to go outside to cry in the rain.
If only our darkest secrets were kept, and that the blood didn't stain,
Then maybe others wouldn't look at you like you're completely insane.
If only these people weren't so mean; so cruel and inhumane,
Then there wouldn't be anything left for me here, to ever possibly complain.
